NetSuite implementation

One system for the whole business, put in right the first time, by the NetSuite consultants other companies call when their implementation fails.

The problem

A failed implementation is paid for three times

Gartner predicts that by 2027, more than 70% of recently implemented ERP initiatives will fail to fully meet their original business goals. The bill comes three times: the build, the fix, the downtime – and lost morale in between. As ERP implementation consultants who also fix failed projects for a living, we scope every NetSuite ERP implementation against the failure causes we meet in rescue work.

What’s included

Everything an implementation needs, one accountable lead

Our ERP implementation services cover five workstreams, each explained on its own page: project management, configuration and setup, data migration, training and change management, and our implementation methodology. One senior consultant leads them all, keeping your NetSuite implementation coordinated from start to finish.

More pages in this section are publishing through October and November.

The payoff

What one system for the whole business buys you

One system changes what a business can see and how fast it can change. But only if the implementation is done properly.

A go-live the whole business signs off

Finance, operations, procurement and sales cut over on reconciled, tested data and sign off.

Every number in one place

Company-wide reporting from a single source. The numbers finally agree.

Processes you can control and change

Approvals, workflows and roles live in the system. Changing how you operate becomes configuration, and pivoting stops meaning re-platforming.

Room to scale, and an easier week

No rekeying, no firefighting. Volume and entities grow without headcount growing in step.

How it works

Ground work first, so it goes live once

Your team hasn’t been through this kind of change – but we do it all the time. Getting a company live on NetSuite means combining disparate processes, patchy data sources and different people doing different things across them. When handed to someone in-house, it’s hard to even know where to start. That’s exactly why we’ve compiled these steps.

  1. Ground work: goals agreed, data cleaned and processes tidied before NetSuite is touched, so the project starts fast.

  2. The people element: your team and ours run as one team with clear decision-makers, so nothing waits weeks for an answer.

  3. Requirements: we map how the business works now and how it should work in NetSuite, including what NetSuite won’t do.

  4. Design & build: everything is designed on paper and signed off by you before anything gets built.

  5. Migrate, test, train: your data moves across and balances, and your team tests and trains on it before go-live.

  6. Go-live & scale: you go live with a safety net, support stays on afterwards and the system grows with the business.

What a client said about their implementation

Ben was invaluable. To be honest, without his input, the implementation wouldn’t have been possible. It was a tremendously difficult job.

What to decide before you start

  • !Leading practice first. We start with standard NetSuite. Customisation you don’t need costs you every time the business changes – each custom process and script has to flex with it.
  • !Realistic timelines. A typical mid-market project runs four to nine months. The six-week quotes for multi-entity builds are the projects we end up rescuing later.
  • !Your team costs time too. Process owners need real hours for design and testing. Projects drift when the client side is too busy to decide.
  • !Cost is scope-driven. Every project is priced on its own scope, so ranges are guidelines, never quotes. Ask early – our pricing page gives a realistic range for a NetSuite implementation.
Common questions

NetSuite implementation FAQs

How long does a NetSuite implementation take?
Four to nine months for a typical mid-market project, and up to eighteen months for complex multi-entity builds. Single-entity lands at the short end; multi-subsidiary, lots of additional modules or heavy customisation extends it. That’s why scoping matters: you know what you’re signing up for before you start.
Do we need a partner, or can we self-implement?
You can, and some do. Even with strong in-house skills it gets complex quickly, so plan on several committed people, not one. The bigger risk is the design decisions, which you only get to make once – that’s where senior help earns its fee.
How much does a NetSuite implementation cost?
Industry benchmarks put implementation at one to two times the first-year licence cost – and where you land is driven by scope. We scope before we quote, and the estimate is one we’ll defend.

More implementation questions – timelines, phasing, SuiteSuccess, why projects fail – are answered in the implementation FAQs.
