Our NetSuite implementation process and methodology
We apply lessons from the projects we rescue to every implementation. That means preparing the business before configuring software, working as one team and starting the build only after you approve the design – so you can go live with confidence.
Most methodologies are sales decks
Every partner has a framework with a trademark. What matters is whether decisions get made, whether the client team is inside the project or outside it, and whether anything gets built before it’s designed. Ours exists because we’ve rescued the projects where those three things went missing. Panorama’s 2026 ERP Report found more than a quarter of projects went over budget, most often because the chosen system didn’t fit and extra technology had to be added – the kind of gap a signed design is meant to catch early.
Six stages, in plain terms
Each stage ends with something you sign, so drift is caught early.
- Ground workWe settle goals, clean data and well-ordered processes before NetSuite is touched.
- One teamYour people and ours work as one team, with named decision-makers and real availability.
- RequirementsWe map how the business works now, how it should work and what NetSuite won’t do.
- Design firstEverything goes on paper and is signed by you before anything is built.
- Migrate, test, trainThe data balances, and your team proves the system before relying on it.
- Go-live & scaleYou get a safety net at cutover, support after it and a platform that grows.
What the method buys you
No drift
Signed stage gates keep scope in check, so surprises at UAT are rare.
Decisions in days
Named owners with real availability mean questions find answers instead of queues.
A build you understood before it existed
You approved the design on paper, so go-live holds fewer surprises.
One go-live
The failure points we’re hired to fix elsewhere are designed out from the start.
The NetSuite implementation process, stage by stage
The same six stages apply whatever your industry. The content changes, but the discipline doesn’t. Our implementation checklist covers the checkpoints within each stage.
What to know before you start
- !A methodology can’t replace your decisions. Stage gates create the moments; your team still has to show up to them. We’re explicit about the hours we’ll need from you.
- !Fast is a scoping outcome, never a promise. If a stage needs longer, it gets longer. Most of the rescue projects we take on began with a compressed design stage.
- !We adapt the method, never abandon it. Small projects run the same gates, lighter. Skipping gates is the one flexibility we won’t sell you.
