What to know before you scope

!SuitePeople Payroll is US payroll. It files US federal and state taxes for US entities. It does not and cannot run UK payroll – no RTI, no HMRC. UK payroll stays in a UK payroll engine, integrated.
!SuitePeople is separately licensed. HR and Workforce Management carry their own licences on top of core NetSuite. Budget for the modules before designing around them.
!Employee data raises the compliance bar. People records bring UK GDPR obligations into the account. Role design, restricted views and retention rules stop being optional hygiene.
!NetSuite is not a full talent suite. Recruitment ATS, learning management and deep performance tooling are thin or absent, so integrations cover them. We will say so rather than design around the gap.

Can NetSuite run UK payroll?

Not natively. SuitePeople Payroll is US-only. The UK pattern is a third-party payroll engine integrated for employee data, hours and journals, and our integration page covers exactly that.

Is SuitePeople worth it for a UK company?

For HR, often yes, if you want people records on the same platform as everything else. The case is HRIS consolidation, never payroll, and the fit check gives you a plain answer either way.

What about pensions auto-enrolment?

Auto-enrolment lives in the payroll engine, not in NetSuite. The integration carries the data payroll needs, while the statutory duties stay with the statutory engine.
