ERP data migration to NetSuite
Move from QuickBooks, Sage, Xero or a legacy ERP with confidence in your data. We cleanse, map and reconcile the figures in a sandbox before moving them into production, so finance can sign off the balances from day one.
When migration figures don’t match, finance loses confidence
If opening balances are wrong, finance starts questioning the new system from day one. The problem often comes from messy source data, unusual transactions that were mapped incorrectly, or data moved into production before anyone checked that the figures matched.
Go live on numbers finance has already signed off
We run migration as an accounting job. Every figure is reconciled in a sandbox and tied back to source before it reaches production.
- Data audit & cleansingWe de-duplicate and fix the data at source, before anything moves.
- Field & value mappingYou get a documented source-to-NetSuite map, edge cases included.
- Master dataCustomers, vendors, items, COA and tax codes are loaded and checked.
- Open items & balancesOpen AR/AP, the opening TB and stock quantities and valuations all migrate together.
- Reconciliation packEvery control account gets a source-to-NetSuite tie-out.
- Cutover planThe freeze, final delta load, go/no-go decision and rollback are all defined in advance.
Planning a NetSuite data migration?
Talk through your data, reconciliation and cut-over with a solution architect. It’s free, it takes 30 minutes and there’s no sales pitch.
What clean migration buys you
Reporting that’s actually accurate
Every saved search and P&L is built on reconciled figures, so the first report out of NetSuite matches reality.
Your team recognises their data on day one
The customers, items and open orders they had on Friday are in NetSuite on Monday, so adoption starts at go-live rather than weeks later.
Legacy mistakes stay behind
Duplicates, dead SKUs and mispostings are fixed at source or left in the archive, so old errors don’t follow you into a clean system.
Your first month-end closes on time
The opening trial balance is already tied out, so the first close is a genuine close and nobody spends it debugging history.
The five stages of an ERP data migration
Assess & scope
We profile the source data, agree what migrates and set reconciliation targets.
Cleanse & map
We fix data at source, document the mapping and resolve edge cases with your team.
Load to sandbox
We run the full migration into a sandbox, so nothing touches production yet.
Reconcile & validate
Every control account is tied back to source, and anything that doesn’t balance is fixed.
Cutover
We freeze the source, run the final delta load, reconcile again and go live with rollback ready.
What to decide before you start
- !History has a cost. Every extra year of closed transactions adds mapping and reconciliation time. For most SMEs, open items plus one or two years is the sweet spot; a decade rarely pays for itself.
- !Not all of it belongs in NetSuite. High-volume subledger detail is often better summarised on load and left archived at source.
- !CSV Import has limits. It covers most records, but some objects and line-level logic need SuiteScript or SOAP. We use whichever fits, and custom loads simply need more testing time.
- !Cutover, not parallel. Running both systems means keying everything twice, so a defined reconciliation window over one month-end is cheaper and lower-risk.
- !You don’t need a separate agency. Our data migration services are delivered by the same senior consultants who run the implementation, so a data migration consultant is involved from the first design call rather than brought in at the end – the people mapping your data are the ones who will answer for it at go-live.
